The book “Gei Oni” was one of my favorite books when it just came out. It’s a story about a girl that takes place during the first wave of Jewish European migration to Palestine, at the end of the 19th century. It’s a love story between Fania, a young Russian immigrant, and Yechiel, a native Jew.
Last Saturday, I joined the “Hevra le Haganat Ha Teva” trip to Rosh Pina (previously called Gai Oni) where the Israeli part of the story took place.
It is very peaceful there and the nature feels almost untouched by humans which makes it breathtaking. I took these pictures with my iPhone but surprisingly they came out better than i expected.
