So the next day I got a response from them. This was the stupidest thing they could come up with.

and you update or change that credit card or bank account that you use
for that payment, unfortunately it will automatically cancel your

I am asking you, PayPal:
Why would you allow people to make changes if it will cancel the subscription? Isn’t this defeats the purpose?
We make the changes so the subscription will NOT get canceled or compromised when the card will expire.

I love the idea. Gives your hand freedom to move naturally on the surface.

THS – The TRUE Hollywood Story

This is a spoof on the Keys 100 Race which is an ultra marathon event.
We (Friends in Training gang) participated in the relay. The day of the run was very hard, mostly because of the extreme heat conditions. We were on the road from 4:00 AM until 4:00 AM and each one of us ran a total of approximately 20 miles.
Of course all the pain and suffering was quickly forgotten as soon as we hit Key West and the party started

Google has a new look : new logo and new user interface.
The new logo is cleaner and has no shadow. The TM mark is also gone.
The new UI has now 3 columns and many good and useful features.

I did not have the time to explore it deeper, but the first one that I noticed and find it very useful is that links to videos and images are right there on the side and you don’t have to toggle from screen to screen any more.

You got to love Google. They reinvent themselves all the time bringing the users better searching experiences.

About 4 years ago i joined FIT (Friends in Training).
I will not go into details about FIT, but i just want to say that without their love and support I would not complete one single marathon. Never.

Now, 4 years, 3 marathons, 7 half marathons and many many 5 and 10 K’s later, I decided that it’s time to pay it forward.

Since FIT had a very old and not user-friendly website, and developing sites is my passion, I decided to give them new site.

This was my most fun project so far. There was no pressure of ROI, SERPs or Affiliates. Just pure fun.

Since I wanted to be able to choose out of many designs, I decided to post a design contest.

When you hold a contest, you get the most world talents working for you. The response was great.

I had 30+ designers participated in the contest.

Marcela (FIT’s owner) choose the final design which reflects bright Florida colors of the beach where we run every Saturday.

The new site had to be CMS and I choose Drupal.

I really wanted to use my favorite worpress but decided in Drupal favor since wordpress lack many complicated features that Drupal provides.

New site lounge was a huge success. Everyone loved it.

I am so happy and humbled that i was able to work on this project.

History was made today as the first three, non-Latin, IDN ccTLDs were made live.
Reports are flooding the IDN sector of the web, rejoicing in the advancements that are being made in the specified area.

Thanks to the hard work of so many contributors, these domains were made live this morning.

After being launched by being placed into the DNS root zone, an excited post was made on the ICANN blog by the Manager of Root Zone Services Kim Davies.

She writes: “The three new top-level domains are السعودية. (“Al-Saudiah”), امارات. ( “Emarat”) and مصر. (“Misr”).

All three are Arabic script domains, and will enable domain names written fully right-to-left.”

In a world where ASCII dictates what we can and cannot use, and a place where those who choose to use a language that is not supported are limited in options, this is a huge step towards building a true global community.

While there are some things that still need to be taken care of in regards to the new IDNs, Ms. Davies says that they are mostly just formalities.

Now that these ccTLDs are visible, the countries for which they are created for must now take the torch and begin the difficult process of integrating them into daily life.

Google got the date right and created this beautiful doodle.

I was sure it will not arrive on time when I received an email notification that it left China on April 1st.

It was in Kansas already on April 3rd at 4:30 in the morning and made it’s way on time as they promised (on April 3rd).
I used it so far only for few hours and here is my opinion so far:

Pros:
1. Looks – very sexy
2. Easy to navigate (like it’s little brother the iPhone)
3. Bright screen
4. Very fast (I am not sure if it’s fast by itself or this is the 50 MG cable connection that I have)
5. Battery life is amazing.
6. Can read emails and other content without glasses (big issue when you are over 40 and need reading glasses)

Cons:
1. A bit heavy to hold in one hand for a long time.
2. After taking off the plastic protector(I hate plastic covers) and using it for few hours it looks like a finger prints machine (not sexy at all)
3. Can’t access any of sites that require login unless I know the login info. I use roboform to store all the login info for all sites. Since it’s impossible to install outside apps on the iPad, I have to think of some other alternative. Will try to test with online roboform and see if it will work
4. I am always paranoid that I will drop it. I am sure accidents will happen like this one. There are nice covers out there to purchase. I will wait until I know exactly what are the weak spots and than I will order a cover.
5. No camera – mistake on Apple’s part. Camera is essential in my opinion.
6. Resolution – when I enlarge some apps, such as skype, the resolution is really bad.
7. Runs only one app at a time. Can’t multitask – this is a big disadvantage.

Overall, I think iPad will be a hit. I think that Non-tech-savvy people will love it. I spoke with my 72 year old father who can’t get used to a regular PC and does not speak any English and he asked if I think that iPad will be good for him. I actually think that it’s a great idea. He will not need to be worried about malware and viruses, installing and upgrading software and all the rest of the hassles that come with windows.
